My first blog post brought to you by me, Valentina Guarnaccia, a Life Coach in the making. This is my story about not settling in life, living my purpose and why you should too.
I’m going to start my story in March 2016 when I was diagnosed with a spinal tumour. I remember thinking ‘is this really happening to me?’ It was a proper feel sorry for myself kind of time and I was certainly afraid about my future.
I was a negative person back then and didn’t have self belief although I did have ambition. My life completely reflected my thoughts as I was in a job I didn’t like and living in a small apartment with my boyfriend. We were saving for a house so spending money was low and we generally didn’t do much.
Now fast forward to March 2019 I was re-diagnosed with the same problem after an operation and radiotherapy in 2016 which seemed to have worked at the time but it wasn’t set in stone that it would never come back.
So I’m writing this after a second operation in May this year and having just finished my second dose of radiotherapy to my head and spine less than a month ago!
After the first diagnoses I wondered for a few months about my life and how I wanted it to be from then on. During my sick time off work I only got paid statutory sick pay so it was difficult to afford bills. I looked at my life and it just wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
I made a decision back then to change and even though it’s been slow moving I can honestly say I love my life so much more now as I have a purpose and a vision for my future.
I now own my house with my boyfriend, we have an 18 month old beagle called Milo, we go out as a family on Sundays and generally have a better quality of life, I’m still not where I want to be with my life coaching career but it’s also about enjoying the journey which I do so every day.
So I’m here to tell you that firstly you shouldn’t wait for something drastic to happen before you change your vibration, you can act right now! Secondly the world will be better off if you were to share your talent with it, seriously!
Of course I’m not saying quit your job right now and follow your dream! Err I know it doesn’t work like that. I’m saying take that first action step. Step out of your comfort zone. My first step was to enrol in a life coaching course whilst still working because it was the first stepping stone in getting to the place I want to be in life.
I’m not letting any illness dictate my future so I’m here starting a blog to help more women with daily life struggles and to inspire even one girl to per sue her dream as it will all be worth it in the end and you/I can say we lived our life to the fullest!
Let me know in the comments what your goals are and what’s stopping you from living your purpose?
Loves, Valentina X
