Hello my glow-getters!
Today I am deep diving into the overwhelm factor! How many times have you set out to achieve something big but have been left procrastinating and with zero sense of achievement?
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place because today I am sharing big tips on how to crush this feeling so that you can crush your goals!
First of all it’s really beneficial to understand the causes of overwhelm to be able to to understand how to get over it. A lot of people in their lives will have big dreams and targets but only a small fraction of these people have a plan on how to get to their target.
Think about it for a minute, would you set off to get from one side of the world to the other if you didn’t know the route? the method of transport you’re going to use? the length of the journey? the obstacles?
How would you feel if you were about to set off for your destination without any of those? Scared and overwhelmed right? Exactly! So it’s no wonder why people never get to their target and achieve their goal when they haven’t got a road map or blueprint for doing so.
Don’t wing it, get clear!
First thing is first, get clear and design your road map. Think about your target/goal, how many years is it going to take to achieve? What do you have to do to achieve it in that time frame? Write it all down, if it’s on paper you can get really focused.
Okay, now narrow it down. To achieve your target, what do you need to do in the next year (365 days!) to get there? Again make a list which is narrowed down from the previous one.
Okay, now narrow it down even further, what do you need to do in the next 90 days? What are the priorities? I always find that 3-5 priorities works best because it’s all about making the list smaller and smaller but much more specific.
So for example, if in your overall plan one of the things you needed to achieve was to set up a website, then in your 90 day plan your goal would be to find the right hosting platform, the right theme and create your landing page.
When you are following a map and have a clear direction, you will see how procrastination will disappear instantly. It’s all about knowing what to do and when to do it and following your own plan.
Think about it logically
